Industrial Projects - (Return to Projects Page)

McHenry & Associates has provided engineering services for many industrial facilities. For new, ground up projects or renovations of large or small facilities, our company can provide a range of services. Our design experience includes industrial ventilation and air conditioning, process piping and specialty plumbing design, power distribution and controls, as well as evaluation and design in special environments including clean rooms and hazardous environments. Some examples of recent projects include:

1) Obron/Ekart Ink Plant, Painesville, Ohio
Projects for this company included a new 28,000 sq. ft. ink manufacturing facility with an attached research and development lab space. The manufacturing area was designed for use with Class 2 flammable liquids with the required ventilation systems and storage areas, while the lab space was normal hazard. On the same campus, we also designed the 13,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters. Our office has continued to provide design for process areas and most recently a new mixing building for use with metallic dust.

2) Westerman Companies Wooster, Ohio
This project included an original 36,000 sq. ft. manufactured building with attached 5,000 sq. ft. of office space. An additional 36,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing was added two years after the initial construction. The project included power distribution for a heavy welding environment, process air piping, and radiant heating systems in the plant area.

3) Industrial Corporation Plant Consolidation, Highland Hts, Ohio
This project involved the renovation of an existing 75,000 sq. ft. distribution facility into a production facility. In addition, a 20,000 sq. ft. addition to accommodate clean room areas and other specialty testing areas requiring ventilation for corrosive processes. The project included air conditioning for the entire plant area, upgrade of the power service and all new lighting and distribution and process piping for air and lubrication systems.
