McHenry and Associates has provided engineering for many municipal buildings of all types.  The services include initial planning and budgeting assistance to the user and the project architect through completion of construction documents and construction administration.  These projects included all the necessary mechanical and electrical system design required for the special occupancies occurring in each type of facility.  They feature vehicle exhaust in fire stations, coordination of extensive audio/video systems in city halls and emergency power system design to maintain operation during power outages for these critical facilities.  Some examples include:

1) Fire stations for:

Garfield Heights, Solon, North Olmstead, Kirtland and Mentor in Ohio.  We also designed the ARFF facility at the Morgantown, West Virginia municipal airport.

2) Civic Centers and City Halls for:

Solon, Kirtland, Westlake and Hunting Valley.  Our office also designed a significant renovation to the Lake County Courthouse, which included a complete retrofit of the building heating and cooling systems.

3) Senior Centers for:

Garfield Heights, Westlake and Euclid.

4) Maintenance facilities for:

Garfield Heights and Geauga County.
